STREETZine is a street paper published by The Stewpot, offering financial opportunity to the homeless and at-risk of Dallas since 2003.

Vendors pay 25¢ for each paper, asking readers for a suggested donation of $1.00 and keep 100% the donations he or she receives. They can also solicit sponsors to purchase papers to vend. New vendors receive 10 free copies of the paper to get them started.

For the vendor, the paper offers a positive experience of self-help that breaks through the isolation that many homeless people experience. The vendors are often able to become independent and/or self-sufficient with their proceeds from the paper by purchasing bus passes and food or necessary living expenses. It also gives them opportunity for expression by publishing their articles, poems and artwork.

If you would like to sponsor a vendor, visit our donation link. Select STREETZine as your designated fund and note your vendor number in the comments section of the donation page. $15.00 will purchase sixty papers for your vendor which will help him/her earn $60.00.
